Lervig’s House Party Session IPA has always been about big flavour and now it’s even more accessible. Lervig recently announced a new version of the brew which makes it completely gluten-free, delivering the same bright, juicy character the beer is known for, just without the gluten.
This isn’t a compromise or a tweak, it’s the same House Party people already love. A light biscuit base, punchy citrus and tropical notes and that crisp, refreshing finish that keeps you going back for more. The only difference is that now more people can enjoy it, making it a genuinely inclusive beer that still delivers on quality.

There are brewery visits and then there are Stiegl visits.
Earlier this year we were lucky enough to be hosted by Stiegl Brewery for a trip that perfectly summed up what the brewery is all about: independence, quality, hospitality and a deep connection to place. From Salzburg to Wildshut and finally up into the mountains for a few days of skiing, it was an experience that blended beer, food and culture in the best possible way.
From the moment we landed in Salzburg, Austria did what it does best. A proper schnitzel for lunch in the city set the tone nicely before heading straight into the heart of things: the brewery itself.
"Stiegl produces over 1 million hectolitres of

Dry January has firmly earned its place in the calendar for pubs, bars and venues across the UK. What began as a short-term health reset has grown into something much bigger: a fundamental shift in how people drink all year round. More customers than ever are actively choosing non-alcoholic options, whether for health, moderation, lifestyle or simply personal preference. And crucially, they still want (and deserve) quality, flavour and genuine choice. Not a consolation prize in a dusty bottle.

Forget tinsel, forget carols. The real sign that the festive season has arrived is the return of Sierra Nevada Celebration, the fresh hop IPA that’s been making beer cheer(s) since 1981. But this year? We’re bringing something genuinely special. Something historic. We’re bringing Celebration - the iconic West Coast hop-bomb - on cask to the U.K.
Yes. Celebration. On. Cask.
For decades, Celebration has been poured in keg and bottle, bursting with citrus zest, pine resin and that unapologetic Sierra snap of bitterness. But pulling it through a handpump? That changes everything. Cask brings a creamy mouthfeel, a mellow rounded warmth and a depth that makes the hops glow. Like meeting an old friend with a new personality.
And it’s kind of poetic. An American hero of the hop world served in the most traditional British format. A beer

Every now and then in the beer world something outrageous happens. Sometimes it’s a twist on a new style. Sometimes it’s a wild collab. And other times… it’s one of the most limited release beers in the world somehow finding its way across the Atlantic into our hands. Enter: Celly Drippins.
If you know and love Sierra Nevada’s iconic festive release Celebration. All pine, citrus, and unapologetically bold hop character, then imagine taking those legendary whole-cone dry hop bags… squeezing every last drop of flavour from them… and turning that concentrated hop essence into its own beer. That’s Celly Drippins. It’s deeper, richer, more intense. Like Celebration, but dialled up.
Until now, it’s been a beer known only to pour in Sierra Nevada taprooms. In Chico, California and Fletcher, North Carolina. Never brewed for distribution. Never exported. Never served elsewhere.

If you know, you know. Beamish Irish Stout is back.
Few names in Irish brewing carry as much weight as Beamish, the iconic stout from Cork that’s been quietly winning loyal drinkers since 1792.

Big news from Cave Direct: our Manchester warehouse has a brand-new home! After years of serving the North from Piccadilly and Ardwick, we’ve outgrown our space once again. With this, we have now moved to a bigger, better site in Hyde.
The new warehouse is double the capacity of our previous site, giving us the room we need to expand our cold storage, improve logistics, and most importantly, bring even more beer to the customers we supply across the region.
From Cave Direct North's early days at Unit 101 in Manchester Piccadilly, to Ardwick, and now Hyde, the journey reflects how much our community of trade customers has grown. Each move has allowed us to keep pace with the demand for fresh, exciting beer, and this one is no different.
With more space comes:
- Higher stockholding – greater capacity means a wider range of the best breweries from the UK, Europe, and the US.
