Verdant Fresh Hop West Coast IPA

When given the opportunity to purchase some fresh US hop cryo pellets of Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe and Krush hops we jumped at the chance! Here at Verdant we love a crisp, clean IPA around Christmas time. To have one that evokes warmer climes and times, bringing back memories of our hop selection trip, got us really, really excited. These pellets were processed in Yakima Chiefs Cryo plant as per normal; however the main point of difference is that the hop cones utilised were wet/fresh and hadn’t been kilned. Essentially, the bines were harvested and the cones picked, then they were frozen with liquid nitrogen and turned into cryo pellets.
