A beer lovers haven, Fuggles Beer Café really is a must visit.
With three sites, located in the picturesque market towns of Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells (Kent) each offers a warm atmosphere and a rather impressive selection of beers.
Fuggles all started back in 2013 in Tunbridge Wells, a blend of pub, Belgian style café and bar all rolled in to one. Founder, Alex then opened a second site in 2017 just a few miles away in neighbouring town of Tonbridge. With the main aim of offering the best of British and European beers on tap as well as a list of over 100 bottled beers, coupled with great natural wines and spirits.
Both Beer Cafés have a whopping 30 draught lines on offer, including 4 cask ales, 2 real ciders and an alcohol-free option. Over half over these taps are ever-changing so each time you visit there will be something new to try as well as some good old reliable favourites that stay on year-round; like Paulaner Larger, Zot Belgian Blonde and Lindemans Kriek. There’s also a menu of grilled cheese sandwiches and a selection of cheese and charcuterie boards to accompany your beers.
The third site, and newest addition opening in 2021 is Fuggles Bottle Shop on Camden Road (Tunbridge Wells). Just a short walk from the Beer Café it’s the perfect place to find hundreds of beers on offer to take home and enjoy.
Alex and his team really have done and incredible job at creating lovely spaces to sit and enjoy specialty beers, wines, spirits and even coffee, so there really is something for everyone. With such a huge offering of beers it can be hard to choose, but all of the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable and are always happy to recommend!
